An edit-locked clip will be indicated by a small lock icon in the bottom-left corner of the clip.

If you attempt to change the clip in any way (including moving the clip to another location), you will see a dialog box that will enable you to apply the change or leave the locked clip unchanged.

Time Lock

When a clip is time locked, it can be freely edited in all ways other than moving the clip to a different location.

1 Select the clip(s) you want to lock.

2 Click on the Clip menu.

3 Choose Edit Lock/Unlock. The clip will be locked.
